David Florida sent a letter to the owners and the tenants of safe county telling them they can move the rent up. It has a laid out of fair mid high and what they can charge 😆 Miami specifically
MaxRon Same that's why I had to move my landlord kept raising the rent basically every year. First year was 1560. Then after two years it was 1700 then 2000, then 2500 now it's 2800. We left when it reached 2000 because it didn't qualify under section 8 and the house was old. It wasn't modern at all. She renovated the bathrooms which is why she was raising it but the house wasn't worth the rent price. After we moved she did 2500. Now it's 2800. She was so greedy and a liar. She lied and said she had someone buying the house then lied and said she had tenants moving in because she wanted us to leave because she couldn't renovate with us inside. After we moved the house was up for months and months. She was terrible. This was in FL
Emilyrose I'm sorry. I don't think any state has rent control laws. They can (and DO) charge what they want. It's not right. There's no such thing as affordable housing any more
Emma Emilyrose Yep this is why I advocate for government built housing and why most homes owners don't want it we use to have tons of housing.
TheOG1 Oh wow that's a bit much if you don't mind me asking what city you stay in it's really a shame how these landlord's raising rent prices but their houses and apartments not matching the prices if you gonna charge that much for rent at least make sure it's worth it from upgrading the appliances and bathrooms I'm so sorry your going through that it's really hard to find housing now days
